Xactimate User Agreement

AUSTIN, Texas – CORE Group Restorations, Inc., the fastest growing contracting network, today announced a multi-year contract with Xactware Solutions, Inc. to offer Xactimate licenses to its affiliated service providers. The conditions of restoration projects are multiple and varied and are not well suited to a single price approach. Market price reports may or may not be relevant to a particular workplace. Standardized prices are general, non-specific and do not apply to many different scenarios. Open-mindedness and common sense should prevail in all cases. Therefore, in order to obtain a Xactimate user license, insurers, TPAs and contractors must agree in writing not to prohibit or exclude deviations from Xactimate prices if market conditions or other factors warrant a waiver. The AGM invites conservators to review the last sentence of the second paragraph of Section 9 of its Xactimate licence agreement and use it when a person insists on Xactimate prices. This seems unknown in many parts of the insurance industry. Xactware collects price data across multiple channels, one of which is Xactanalysis. As we said in our last report, conservators should bear in mind that about 90% of the downloaded estimates for Xactanalysis do not come from entities that actually work in the real market.

Still, Xactware says there is “a lot of effort to ensure that no party or industry has undue influence on the price data we study and report on.” The AGM will address this imbalance and the apparent separation head-on. Many restaurateurs wonder why each price should be taken into account in a market analysis, when it does not come from a practitioner who is currently working commercially. Unknown to many, says Xactware: “Ultimately, the right price for each job is based on an agreement between the buyer and the supplier: the price the buyer is willing to pay and the supplier is willing to work.” (Xactware Pricing Methodology Methodology Report, February 6, 2018) The agreement allows CORE Group to offer contractors the ability to license standard and professional licenses to Xactimate in addition to the many other benefits available as part of the contractor`s membership in the CORE network. As Xactimate is used by the majority of industry professionals, every estimate made for our customers with Xactimate increases the chances that both parties will reach an agreement on repair costs. Having said that, there may still be differences of opinion on the extent of repairs, or there may not be insurance coverage for a particular item.
